A horizontal drilling and milling machine having a spindle head which is rotatable about an axis set at 45 DEG relative to the horizontal. In the horizontal and vertical working positions of the spindle sleeve, the spindle head can be arrested via a support housing. In its horizontal working position, the spindle sleeve is rotatably driven exclusively by a spur gear system, and in its vertical working position is rotatably driven with the aid of a bevel gear system. |
