PURPOSE:To separate and take out a designated number of iron sheets by measuring the number of iron sheets floated by magnetic force and inserting a fork member. CONSTITUTION:When an electric current is applied to a magnetic force generating device 10, the upper portion of iron sheets is floated. Subsequently, when a motor 18 is started, a screw shaft 16 is turned through a pair of bevel gears 20, 17 by the turning force to lower a sleeve 14, so that a photo-electric switch 29 of a fork member 27 integral with the sleeve 14 is adapted to measure the number of floated iron sheets 2. When the measured number amounts to a designated number, a controller is operated to stop the motor 18. Whereupon, a switch valve is operated to send pressurized air to a cylinder 24, so that a piston rod 26 is advanced to insert the fork member between the measured number of iron plates and the subsequent iron sheet. On detecting such insertion, a limit switch is operated to start the motor 18 reversely so that the fork member 27 is moved above the stacked iron sheets. |
