PURPOSE:To make it possible to carry a load for many purposes, by forming a roof carrier with a component having dual function of bridge type and frame type. CONSTITUTION:A pair of right and left outside pipes 1b and 1a are formed by bending a metal plate into a hollow pipe. An intermediate bent pipe 2 is provided at opposite ends of the outside pipes 1a and 1b so as to be insertable into the outside pipes. This bridge component is arranged at front and rear portions of a vehicular body 4 in parallel, and side plates 3 are mounted to both ends of the bridge component to form a rectangular frame component. With this arrangement, the roof carrier has a dual function of bridge type that an elongated material such as a ski board is carried and frame type that a bulky or plate-like material such as a surf board is carried. |
