PURPOSE:To obtain high resolution by providing the titled device with a rotary base plate forming a magnetic medium at its surface, a magnetic sensor arranged oppositely to the magnetic medium and a slider holding the magnetic sensor. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic recording medium 3 is formed on the base plate 2 coupled with a rotary shaft 1 and the magnetic patterns 4 of two tracks shifted by D/4 phase at an angle pitch D are written in the magnetic recording medium 3 to form a magnetic circuit. The slider 6 in which a magneto-resistance effect element head (MR head) 5 is incorporated as a magnetic sensor is formed oppositely to the magnetic recording medium 3 and the slider 6 is supported by a plate spring 8 so that the slider 6 including the MR head 5 is floated from the surface of the magnetic recording medium 3 by air flow. |
