PURPOSE:To decide an idle sector with just a single reading action and to decrease the processing time by storing the information showing the end position of an area to an idle position of a header of the final member. CONSTITUTION:The ''track No.00'' is stored at a position 4A where the track number of the next member header should be stored in the form of the information showing that the corresponding member is equal to the final member. Therefore, the header does not arrive at the 0th track. Thus the final member is decided. While the information showing the end position of 5a is stored at a position 4B where other sector number should be stored. The capacity of the position 4B is equivalent to one byte, therefore sufficient to store said information. |
