PURPOSE:To bring a locking position detecting switch into actuation by utilizing the difference between the movements of a sliding body and of a pressing slider at the finishing stage of their shifts in order to lock by a structure wherein the sliding body and the pressing slider are connected through a spring with each other. CONSTITUTION:In a device to connect a joint pipe on the side of a main pipe by welding in order to manufacture a tee, the main pipe is held in a fixed joint holder 2, while the joint pipe to connect to the main pipe is held in a movable joint holder 30. A pressing slider 11, a sliding body 5, which is connected through a spring 13 to said slider 11, and the movable joint holder 30 are shifted leftwards by sliding a lever 28 leftwards in order to bring the joining part of the joint part close to the main pipe. The sliding body 5 comes to a standstill, while the slider 11 is shifted further leftwards against the spring 13 until locking position detecting switch system 45 and 49 are put into actuation so as to drive a solenoid 35, resulting in projecting a locking ram 56 towards a locking rod 41 in order to lock the rod 41. |
