The slide (2) is connected by bars (5) to the off-centre part (4a) of a bent shaft (4). A flywheel (6), rotationally driven by a motor (7), is coupled to the shaft (4) by a clutch (9). Balancing weights (21) are mounted on the bent shaft (4). The press body (1) supports a parallel auxiliary shaft (11) connected kinematically to the first by means of three toothed wheels (gears) (12, 13, 14) such that the two shafts (4, 11) rotate in the same direction. One toothed wheel (gear) (17) integral with the auxiliary shaft (11) meshes with a toothed wheel (gear) (15) mounted freely in rotation on the bent shaft (4) in order to rotate in the opposite direction to the latter. The toothed wheel (gear) (15) which is free in rotation carries balancing weights (22). The balancing weights (21, 22) are arranged and designed so that the vibrations caused by the off-centre part (4a) of the bent shaft are eliminated. <IMAGE>
