The invention relates to a drag-finishing machine having a workpiece holder which moves on an annular track relative to the finishing medium, and, in addition to its track movement through the finishing medium, rotates about its own axis and is equipped at the lower end with receiving means for securing workpieces which dip into the finishing medium. The invention proposes, in particular for simplification purposes, that the workpiece holders (24) be mounted without driving means and so as to rotate freely and that the rotary movement of the said holders result from the reaction force between the finishing medium (M) and the workpieces (29) positioned in corresponding angular arrangement. <IMAGE>
