Sealing arrangement (5) for a drum dryer for laundry, which is arranged between a stationary housing part (3) and the rotating laundry drum (1) and which consists of an elastic annular body (8) and of a felt sliding element (7) connected operatively to the end face of the laundry drum. The felt sliding element (7) possesses as a base a dimensionally stable supporting body (6) which is firmly connected by means of an adhesive bond to the felt sliding element (7). The dimensionally stable supporting body (6) is held in positive connection with the elastic annular body (8). The elastic annular body (8) is slipped onto or attached on a supporting disc (12) braced relative to the stationary housing part (3). <IMAGE>
