PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture of an electrophotographic sensitive body and to lower cost by forming an electrostatic charge generating layer contg. a specified disazo pigment on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:The charge generating layer contains the disazo compd. represented by formula I in which A is a coupler residue, such as a group of phenol, naphthol, OH-having hetero ring, amino-having aromatic or hetero ring, aminonaphthol, aliphatic or aromatic phenolic ketone, exdemplified by formula II. A sharp transferred image can be obtained by laminating on the condutive substrate the charge generating layer contg. thid disazo pigment and a charge transfer layer on this layer to form the electrophotographic sensitive body. |
