This method involves clearing away the ballast, conveying the latter to a screening device and then screening the said ballast before returning the clean ballast elements to the track. This method is distinguished in that after the ballast elements of greater and lesser sizes than that prescribed, as well as parts of the earth, have been removed from the cleared ballast, the remaining ballast elements are cleaned by removing the residual earth still surrounding the elements until the prescribed size is obtained. <IMAGE> |
