PURPOSE:To prevent detection miss by using a destaticizing lamp before a cleaner or a destaticizing lamp before transfer as a light source for a position detector which detects the seam position of a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A destaticizing lamp 12 before a cleaner is provided on the inside of a photosensitive body 1 in the position where said lamp faces a cleaning device 11. A lamp 12 consists of a tubular body having the length equal to the overall width of the body 1. A position detector 13 consists of a photodetector and is provided in the position where said detector faces the lamp 12. Said detector detects the seam position of the body 1 by receiving the light from the lamp 12 transmitted through a through-hole 1a opened to the body 1. Even if the body 1 shifts laterally during rotation, the light from the lamp 12 arrives at the detector 13 through the hole 1a and therefore a detection miss is obviated. Since the lamp 12 or the like is used as a light source, there is no need for providing freshly a light source and the need for the space to install the light source is eliminated as well. |
