PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of performance for a thin film magnetic head by burying a good heat conductor at least into a part of the lower area of an electrode winding part and therefore eliminating the heat produced by a recording current. CONSTITUTION:A groove is formed on a substrate 1, and a good heat conductor 10 of Cu, Al, Au, etc. is formed into the groove by a thin film accumulating process. An electrode winding 2 is formed on the conductor 10 via an insulated film 4 after the substrate 1 is lapped up to a plane. At the same time, an upper magnetic substance 3 is provided on the conductor 10. Thus the deterioration of performance is prevented for a thin film magnetic head since the heat generated by a recording current is eliminated by the conductor 10. |
