APPARATUS FOR CHARGING MOLTEN IRON TREATING AGENT

PURPOSE:To improve remarkably the yield of a treating agent by projecting the tip part of a molten iron spout over a tilting spout in the form of a tightly sealed box, piercing a hole for dropping molten iron in a part of the bottom of the molten iron sppout just above the central part of the tilting spout, and attaching a chute through which the treating agent is dropped to a spout cover over the hole. CONSTITUTION:A tightly sealed box-shaped spout 9 is attached to the tip of a molten iron spout of conventional type so that the spout 9 is projected over a tilting spout 2. A hole 10 for dropping molten iron is pierced in a part of the bottom of the spout 9 just above the central part of the spout 2. A treating agent charging chute 5 through which a treating agent is dropped toward the hole 10 is attached to a spout cover 4 over the hole 10.
