<p>PURPOSE:To treat sludge in a narrow installation area with high capacity, by allowing the laminated filter material in a vertically long treating layer to function so as to enhance biological treatment due to the propagation promotion of aerobic bacteria through the collection of a floated substance and gas-liquid contact while also using a periodic filter material washing means to repeatedly restore the aforementioned function. CONSTITUTION:Sludge is treated by using a vertically long treating tank 1 formed into a structure capable of performing recirculating washing by jet pumps 7-1, 7-2 and having a pressure air supplying air diffusion pipe 6 arranged to the intermediate height position thereof. That is, sludge flowed down from the upper part of the tank 1 toward a lower direction is fluidized by supplying pressure air from the pressure air diffusing pipe 6 arranged below a filter material outtake intermediate port 5 and is subjected to digestion treatment due to aerobic bacteria under gas-liquid contact. In this case, a floated mixed substance which can not be subjected to digestion treatment, is filtered by a filter material. Therefore, sewage treatment can be performed in an extremely effective state without requiring a vast installation area. In addition, when no air diffusion pump 6 is used, filtering capacity is kept over a long period of time while only the filtering material in the upper party easily generating clogging is periodically washed.</p> |
