FREQUENCY DIVIDING CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To obtain a frequency dividing circuit of a low power consumption with a simple constitution by adding an LC series circuit between the base and the emitter or between the base and the collector of a transistor (TR). CONSTITUTION:The frequency dividing operation is performed when a diode between the base and the emitter of a TR31 is biased in the forward direction, and the voltage between the base and the emitter is higher when the frequency of an input signal is lower, and this voltage is shifted to a lower value according as the frequency is higher. The current consumption is determined by resistances R31 and R34. The constant of the LC series circuit consisting of a capacitor C31 and an inductance L31 or the capacity between the base and the emitter of the TR is changed to vary easily the band where the frequency can be divided. The LC series circuit may be connected between the base and the collector.
