Apparatus for drawing up liquids, for example highly contaminated, inflammable or corrosive liquids, and for receiving them in a container provided with one or more orifices which can preferably be closed. In one of the orifices 3 of the container 1 there is fixed in a removable fashion a discharge pump 5, arranged so as to evacuate the air contained in the container 1 so as to generate an underpressure, the container 6 being arranged to communicate with a liquid 13 and the pump 5 being provided with a tubular end-piece 10 extending into the container and comprising a float valve 11, intended to close the air evacuation path when a predetermined liquid level has been reached in the container. <IMAGE>
