Child-resistant packaging

A child-resistant packaging, consisting of a container, whose neck is provided with threads, and a child-resistant closure. The closure comprises a cap made of organic plastic material with a covering wall and a circumferential edge which is constructed with threads for interaction with the container threads. The edge has a radial flange and a number of depressions, arranged with circumferential spacing, on the upper side of the radial flange. Furthermore, the closure comprises a ring which can be fitted telescopically over the cap and surrounds the edge of the cap. The ring comprises a number of projections which extend upwards from the radial flange of the cap and engage the depressions when a downwardly directed force is applied to the ring. Each depression on the radial flange has a substantially vertical surface at one circumferential end for engagement by a projection formed on the ring when the ring is rotated onto the container in the screwing-on direction of the closure. Each depression on the radial flange of the closure likewise has an inclined surface at the other circumferential end, such that a rotary movement of only the ring in the direction of unscrewing the closure from the container leads to the projections of the ring sliding onto the inclined surfaces, such that the closure ...
