Cutting device for tubes

A slide (3) engages with a cutting device with a threaded rod (4) which is mounted horizontally in relation to a rotatably supported paper tube (9). A knife (31) which is attached to a knife support (32) is displaceable at right angles to the paper tube. A control motor which can be controlled via a numerical control unit is coupled to the threaded rod (4). The number of revolutions and the angle of rotation of the threaded rod (4) are controlled in accordance with the paper tube and the tube cutting points, in order to advance the knife automatically to each of the previously determined cutting points at which the knife is pressed against the rotating paper tube. <IMAGE>
