Endoprosthesis, especially hip prosthesis, which is to be anchored cementlessly to a bone and whose surface which is in engagement with osseous tissue after the implantation is provided with a relief-like profile comprising a large number of profiled elements projecting outwards over the surface of its basic body. On at least one anchorage section, adjacent profiled elements rest closely against each other and have a shape such that there is a gap in each case between several adjacent profiled elements resting closely against each other (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
