Cyclone separator - having rotating inner exhaust duct

Degree of separation of solid particles from gas streams and bad particle size range definition in a cycle separator are improved by introducing revolving inner exhaust ducts, which may be driven by the entering particle laden air stream, or motorised. The centrifugal forces created on the duct surface throws off particles, which would otherwise tend to clog duct perforations/filter material, and accelerate fine particles most. The rotating duct has perforated sides and typically a cone shape.
