PURPOSE:To improve the overall properties of high speed durability, handling and stability, and shock resistance performance etc. by using the modified nylon 66 cords as carcass cords that has a preselected value of the sum of thermal contraction and intermediate elongation and the strength. CONSTITUTION:The modified nylon 66 cords which show that the sum of the thermal contraction at 180 deg.C for 30min and the intermediate elongation at 2.25 g/d is less than 12%, and have the strength of more than 7.0g/d and the breakage elongation in the range of 15-25% wrap around the bead core 2 with the cord angle of nearly 90 deg. relative to the circumferential direction of tire to form the carcass 3. Breaker 4 and bead apex 5 are provided to form the tire. By using such modified nylon as carcass cords, the overall properties of the tire can be improved. |
