EDITING SYSTEM OF LINE PRINTER PRINTING DATA

PURPOSE:To enable reduction in the editing time of a printing data by a method wherein any data signal selected is outputted from a data selector while a strobe signal is taken into a shift register as input to be outputted being shifted. CONSTITUTION:Character patterns to be edited are supplied to data buses DB0- DB5 and stored sequentially into a data selector 100, which samples a specified bit data by sampling signals S0-S2. The data is latched sequentially into shift registers 110 and 120 according to a strobe pulse STROB generated when a specific instruction of microprogram is executed and printing data O0-O7 and O0'-O7' edited are sent out by the number of hammer pins of a line printer according to a specified instruction from output terminals L3-L13 and L3'-L13'. Thus, the editing of the printing data is made up of a logic circuit comprising LSIs of data selectors, shift registers or the like to reduce the editing time of printing data.
