PURPOSE:To prevent the leak of working gas and reduction of output by connecting a displacer piston rod and a connecting rod through a crosshead arranged in slidable ways onto the inner peripheral surface of a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A crosshead 30 is arranged in slidable ways in a cylinder 10 on the lower side of a power piston 11, and consists of the first and the second connecting bodies 31 and 32. The first connecting body 31 is formed into horizontally long plate form, and the upper edge of a connecting rod 15 is axially supported through a crosshead pin into a penetration hole which penetrates through at the center in the longitudinal direction. The lower edge of a displacer piston rod 13 is screwed at the center of the second connecting body 32. Though, when a Stirling engine is driven, a force Fn-1 for the shift in the axial direction acts onto the crosshead 30, accompanied with the revolution of a crank 16, said force is restricted by the side wall of the cylinder 10, and the power piston 11 and a displacer piston 12 move vertically without being inclined. |
