<p>PURPOSE:To close the upper unit of a fixing device smoothly by constituting with a nonmetallic member for at least one of the pressing part and pressed part of the upper unit. CONSTITUTION:The pressure lever 29 of the fixing device 16 is pivoted on a support shaft 31 rotatably, and the end part on the opposite side of a pin 30 constitutes the pressed part 33 which is pressed with the pressing part 32 provided to the upper unit 18. The pressed part 33 is made of a soft plastic member having a low coefficient of friction, etc., and attachable to and detachable from a lever body 34. When the upper unit 18 is closed, the pressing part 32 presses the pressed part 33 to rotates and displace the pressure lever 29. Consequently, a pressure lever 24 is displaced against energizing force through the pin 30 and a press roller 22 contacts a heat roller 21. When the pressure lever 29 is further displaced in said direction, a pressure spring 27 is drawn and the press roller 22 is applied with constant spring force to be pressed against the heat roller 21.</p> |
