PURPOSE:To control an operating speed correctly corresponding to a size by controlling the operation of a machine according to previously stored designated size data when the size code of an installed paper cassette is specified. CONSTITUTION:In a control unit for controlling a machine adapted to load sheets of different size thereon and conduct an assigned operation for the sheets, the machine body is provided with means SW300-SW307 for discriminating the size code of a paper cassette. Means SW200-SW203, SW310-SW311 for storing designated data separately from the size code of a paper cassette are provided. The first CPU201 is adapted to discriminate a specified size code from size codes of paper cassettes, and the second CPU202 is adapted to control the operation of the machine according to the size code of the paper cassette and control the operation of the machine according to the stored size data on discriminating a specified size code. |
