<p>The lathe is intended for machining long cylindrical or slightly tapering workpieces, esp. firearm cartridge cases. It comprises at least two motor-driven spindles in a housing (17) and machining tools in holders (15). The housing is swivelably arranged on a shaft (16) and movable by a hydraulic or pneumatic actuator (22,23). One work position (e.g. 18) is within range of the tools whilst the other (19) is unloaded and loaded and vice versa. Solenoid-operated coupling may be provided in the spindle drives such that only the active spindle is driven.</p> |
