<p>Appts. consists of rectangular modules erected from flat walls and partitions with structural beams, etc., the total height being at least 7 m, and is suitable for using a two-parameter aeration system. Partitions are provided with openings which permit operating different processes, i.e. batch flow, parallel flow, batch addition of effluent, batch addition of biomass, and alternating aeration. - For anaerobic treatment, the fermentation compartments are pref. provided with downwardly converging pyramid-shaped bottom hoppers, circulation and homogenising being produced by sludge pumps.</p> |
