PURPOSE:To mix sufficiently driving water with driven water in an inlet mixer to obtain stable flow without separation by a method wherein a plurality of legs are provided between the circumference of inlet section of the inlet mixer and a nozzle as a driven water whirling means. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of legs 21, arranged obliquely into the same direction with respect to the central direction of the inlet mixer 13, are welded between the circumference of inlet section of the inlet mixer 15 and nozzles 13. According to this method, the flow of the driven water is induced into the inlet mixer 15 with a flow speed having a component whirling into the same direction in case it passes through the legs 21 in the jet pump, the whirling component remains slightly at the outlet port of the inlet mixer 15 after being mixed with the driving water flow and the flow in a diffuser becomes stable without causing separation. Accordingly, unstable element of the output of the nuclear reactor due to the fluctuation of the discharging flow amount of the jet pump 20 may be removed. Further, the inlet mixer 15 and the diffuser may be shortened in the lengths thereof and, therefore, the jet pump may be miniaturized and made compact. |
