a. Lock device and key of the type in which the lock comprises a cylindrical rotor whose rotation is only possibly after alignment of a series of stop pins disposed in the stator and this occurring under the pressure of pistons provided in the rotor which are themselves subjected to the action of notches formed on the corresponding key. b. The key 5 and the key passage 4, existing in the rotor 1 of the lock, have a cross-section which is generally L-shaped or U-shaped and there is provided both a series of control notches 10 on the edge of the lateral branch or branches of the key and a series of control hollowings 11 on the inside face of the median branch 7 of the latter. Furthermore the rotor and the stator comprise as many parallel rows of pistons and stop pins as correspond to this series of control hollowings and notches. c. This lock device may be installed in doors and other closing items. <IMAGE>
