A press apparatus is arranged such that a movable table (31) is disposed such as to be vertically movable in opposition to a pressure-receiving frame (1) with pillars (3) as guides. A single or plurality of independent liquid-filled uniform-pressure chambers (32, 55) are provided in at least one of the pressure-receiving frame (1) and the movable table (31). According to this arrangement, working surfaces (9, 10) for mounting dies (23, 24) are allowed to become floating plates, whereby any deflection generated in the pressure-receiving frame (1) or the movable table (31) is corrected. |
