The present invention relates to a novel device for automatically discharging predetermined quantities of liquid at adjustable time intervals. The invention is intended in particular for automatic watering installations etc. and is required to operate automatically without any electrical control elements. In order to permit the discharging of predetermined quantities of liquid at adjustable time intervals, a liquid tank is provided, in which a valve controlled by means of a float is provided, which valve initiates the liquid discharge from the liquid tank when a predetermined liquid level is reached, there being an adjusting device, for adjusting the respective time interval, in the feed line to the liquid tank, which device allows the throughput of liquid per unit of time and consequently the filling time of the tank to be varied. The liquid discharge is accomplished by means of a tube bent in the shape of a U in the liquid tank itself by a suction effect initiated automatically by means of the valve. <IMAGE>
