In a water closet pressure flusher having a lifting rod (13) which is guided through the piston (8) and a connecting channel (20) which is guided through the lifting rod (13) for the purpose of controlling the piston (8), in order to obtain a space-saving design with a low constructional weight and a low operating noise, it is proposed to provide a throttle ball (29) in the outflow line (37), with a throttle filter (36) which adjoins the annular gap (33) between throttle sleeve (30) and annular gap (33), to guide the connecting channel (20) even through the throttle ball (29) as far as the inside of the throttle filter (36). In this way, the cross-section of the connecting channel (20) can be kept small and, nevertheless, sufficient opening speed is achieved. <IMAGE>
