PURPOSE:To form a uniform thin layer of a developer and to obtain a satisfactory sensible image by constituting a developer carrying body of stationary rollers at both ends for non-developing regions and rotating roller in the central part for a developing region. CONSTITUTION:A developing roller 3 is constituted of a revolving roller 42 in a cnetral part for a developing region (a) and stationary rollers 44 in both end parts for non-developing regions (b). The one surface of the roller 44 is adhered to the side faces of side frames 32, 33 supporting the shaft 43 of the roller 42. Since frictional electrification does not arise between the circumferential surface of the roller 44 and an elastic material blade 36, the developer is not coated on the rollers 44. The developer is thus prevented from scattering and leaking from the regions (b) and is formed to a uniform thin layer without hindrance. The sensible image on a photosensitive body 2 is kept clean without staining. |
