PURPOSE:To eliminate an end face inclination of an optical fiber bundle against a mouth piece by forming a connecting mouth piece by executing an electroless plating and an electric plating to the end part, before the optical fiber bundle has a flexibility. CONSTITUTION:Before an optical fiber flux 41 having a flexibility has the flexibility, a connecting mouth piece 42 having no inclination on the end face is formed by executing an electroless plating 22 of, for instance, copper, next executing a strike plating 26 on said plating, and also executing an electric plating 34 on said plating, to the end part of a fiber bundle 18 consisting of many optical fibers surrounded and formed by a core glass 6, an acid-proof covered glass 7 of its outside, and also an acid effluent glass 8 of its outside. As for a plating completed conduit 36 obtained in this way, an acid effluent processing is executed, and the optical fiber bundle 41 having a flexibility is obtained. Also, in the end, a vertical polishing is executed to the end face, and subsequently, for instance, organic alcoxide is applied onto both end faces and heated, by which methyl alcohol is eliminated, and glass is stuck to both the end faces. In this way, an inclination of the end face can be eliminated. |
