PURPOSE:To make a position where an original returns to a tray constant by providing an original sucking means for sucking an original whose copying is ended, in the upper direction of an original tray and carrying it, and a reversible rotary feed roller for holding for a prescribed time the original released from this sucking means. CONSTITUTION:When a copying operation is strated, an original taken out by a separator 7 is guided by a feed guide 9 and supplied onto a platen 1, guided by a guide 10 and discharged toward a vacuum transport 12 from a discharge roller 11 after the copying scanning is ended, and in this case, a vacuum header 13 starts to drive, sucks an original 6a by the lower side face of a belt 12c and carries it in the direction as indicated with an arrow, guides the tip of the original to a reversible rotary feed roller 14, and basing on a signal for informing an approach of the tip of the original, this roller 14 starts a rotation in the advancing direction, the rotation of the roller 14 stops at a position where it is started that the tip of the original is inserted and held, and in case of returning the origianl onto the tray, the original is moved back by rotating in reverse the roller 14, and placed at a prescribed position on the tray. |
