The invention relates to a long-handled pruner, in which the cut-triggering pull cable is supplied inside a holding tube which can be extended as required, the cut-triggering itself being actuated by a handle piece which is easily displaceable on the holding tube part and into which the pull cable is suspended, and it being possible to attach other garden implements, e.g. a tree saw, a fruit picker etc., instead of the pruner.
