PURPOSE:To adjust the density of printing as desired by displacement and high frequency vibration of a piezo-electric element fitted with a printing pin. CONSTITUTION:A printing pin 2 is erected at one end of a plate-shaped piezo- electric element 1 and voltages of both of a power source 3 for generating DC voltage or AC voltage of a low frequency and a power source 4 for generating AC voltage of a high frequency are overlapped with a voltage mixer 5 and applied to a piezo-electric element 1. With the deforming of the piezo-electric element 1 by the DC voltage or the AC voltage of a low frequency, a printing pin 2 is displaced to the vicinity of the printing position near the platen while with the AC voltage of a high frequency, the piezo-electric element 1 is vibrated finely to cause a cavitation in an ink on a ribbon 8 with the vibration of the ribbon 8 by the printing pin 2. Thus, the printing is obtained with the density according to the level of the cavitation. |
