PURPOSE:To improve the automatic exchange service by transmitting a voice mail to an originating subscriber when a called extension is busy and storing the message of the originating subscriber if storage is necessary and making it possible that a called subscriber obtains this message properly. CONSTITUTION:In case of a trunk incoming call from an originating subscriber 1 to an automatic exchange device 4, a called subscriber 5 is called in the additional dial system. Simultaneously, a CPU8 to be controlled stores the storage position of the called extension in a storage area provided in a main storage device 9. If it is judged that the called extension is busy, the CPU8 connects the originating subscriber 1 to a voice mail system 6 through a voice mail trunk 7, and the system 6 reports it to the originating subscriber that the busy state of the called extension and the message can be held. When the message is transmitted, the CPU8 identifies the storage position of the called extension stored preliminarily in the device 9 and stores the message in a corresponding storage area of the system 6. Thereafter, the storage area of the system is dialed from the called extension side with a special number. |
