PURPOSE:To improve color reproducibility by separating four colors from color filters of four different colors arranged on four photoelectric conversion elements, two horizontal and two vertical, and thereby performing flexible signal processing such as color matrix processing. CONSTITUTION:Color filters Cy, Ye, W, G of four different colors are arranged on photoelectric conversion elements. Each signal of Cy, Ye, W, G from the elements thus arranged are added to a horizontal charge transferring section, and taken out from output terminals 13a, 13b by horizontal transferring clock pulse through signal reading sections FDA11, 12. That is, as shown in (b), Cy and Ye are outputted from the terminal 13a, and W and G are outputted from the terminal 13b in separately superposed form on a reset pulse. Accordingly, these four colors can be separated by a separating circuit using a simple gate, and color signals excellent in color reproducibility can be made by operating the four colors freely by a circuit such as color matrix. |
