PURPOSE:To obtain a solid television picture rich in presence by providing two sets of electron gun groups in tricolors for red, green and blue while mounting a polarization panel in front of the phosphor screen. CONSTITUTION:An image signal for left picture and an image signal for a right picture are given to an electron gun group 6 for the left picture consisting of three electron guns and likewise to an electron gun group 7 for a right picture respectively while constituting a scanning line for the left picture and a scanning line for the right picture. Thereby, the scanning line for the left picture and the scanning line for the right picture are made to slip upward and downward of the phosphor screen by a portion corresponding to the width of one scanning line. Further, a polarization panel 11, in which a polarization plate 12 for a minute left picture, which has a polarization surface in the upward and downward directions while its width corresponds to the width of one scanning line and its length corresponds to the length in the right and left directions of the phosphor screen, and a polarization plate 13 for the right picture of the same size while having the polarization surface in the right and left directions are alternately piled up respectively, is mounted in front of the phosphor screen 10. Solid feeling can be obtained when being seen by using the polarization glasses 14. |
