摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a fuel injection device and as well to enhance the accuracy of the control of the flow rate of fuel, by providing a relief valve and a fuel pressure sensor which are communicated with a passage between a fuel pump and an injector, and by using a signal from the fuel pressure sensor for the compensating control of the valve opening time of the injector. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection system is composed of a fuel tank 10, a fuel pump 11, an injector 12 connected to the fuel pump 11 through a fuel supply pipe 13, a relief valve 14 communicated with the fuel supply pipe 13 and a pressure sensor 15. Upon compensation of pressure variations due to the valve-opening of the injector 12, the amount of fuel injection per pulse is given to a computer 23, and thereafter, the injector 13 is turned on. Then, the pressure detected by the fuel pressure sensor 15 at that time is delivered to the computer 23 which therefore calculates the fuel injection amount per unit time, and the calculated value is used as an accumulated value at that time. Further, when the accumulated value at a certain time comes to a value equal to or less than the fuel injection amount per pulse, the injector 12 is turned off.
