PURPOSE:To obtain always surely an average sheet thickness by calculating the winding coil length of a tension reel basing on the number of revolutions and diam. of a bridle roll and the number of revolutions of a tension reel. CONSTITUTION:Respective switches S1, S2 and bars S1, S2 are closed at a certain time after a strip is wound around a tension reel located at the outlet side. Further, the switch S1, bar S1 and the switch S2, bar S2 are opened at a certain time before the strip passes through a final stand. The numbers of revolutions of a bridle roll and the tension reel are calculated respectively by the number of revolutions integrating meters 15, 18 while respective switches are closed, to calculate the winding coil length of the tension reel by a winding length arithmetic device 16. Further, an average sheet thickness is calculated by an average sheet thickness arithmetic device 19 basing on the number of revolutions and winding coil length of the tension reel calculated by the device 16. The calculated results are displayed by a display device 20. |
