PURPOSE:To detect the sediment level in a chamber of a shield machine readily without erroneous operation, by arranging a switch, which detects the operation of a detecting rod that is movably attached in a tightly closed case through a sealing member so that the gap between the rod and switch can be adjusted. CONSTITUTION:When pressure 7 by sediment reaching the position of detector 1 that is fixed to the hole of a bulkhead 2 of the chamber of a shield machine compresses a detecting surface 6 of a sealing member 9, a detecting rod 8 in a tightly closed case 11 moves rightward against the action of a spring 14 along a bearing mechanism 17. An actuator 16 of a switch 13 is pushed through an adjusting screw 15, and the switch 13 is turned ON. When the acting force 7 of the sediment is removed, the detecting rod 8 is moved leftward by the spring 14, and the switch 13 is turned OFF. The sediment level in the chamber is detected by the ON and OFF signals of the switch 13. Since the sealing member 9 is provided, erroneous operation due to the attachment of the sediment can be prevented. |
