An apparatus according to the invention comprises a vessel 2 containing a liquid 1 to be sprayed; a rotating assembly composed of a motor 3 placed under a cover 4, driving a disc 6 which carries fan blades 7 and a cone 8 which is immersed in the liquid and a convergent chimney 10. It comprises, in addition, an envelope 11 which is fixed, in a leaktight manner, to the vessel 2 and which delimits, together with the chimney 10, an annular chamber 12 having, at its top, an orifice 13 which surrounds the top 10a of the chimney. The chamber 12 comprises an air intake 16 which communicates with a fresh-air intake 20 across which is placed a metal grid 19 heated by the flame of a burner 21. One application is the disinfection of isolated premises, such as sheep pens, containers and camping caravans. <IMAGE>
