PURPOSE:To improve the cooling effect by providing a fan for accelerating air toward the radial outside at the outer peripheral edge of a rotor, and providing cooling fins at the inner and outer peripheral edges of an armature coil vertically to the coil. CONSTITUTION:Inner and outer coil fins 1d, 1e which extend longitudinally of a coil surface are provided perpendicularly to the coil surface at the radial inner and outer ends of strands 13 of an armature coil 1. Cooling fins 15a, 9a are provided along the flow of cooling air at the inner and outer holders 15, 9 for bundling the inner and outer peripheral edges of the coil 1. Further, an exhaust fan blade 2d is provided at the outer peripheral edge at rotors 2a, 2b, and cooling air flowed to radial outside through a slot 19 is further accelerated toward the outside to increase the air flow rate. Thus, cooling effect is improved.
