<p>The invention relates to a charging apparatus for metallurgical furnaces, especially for electric, reduction, or electric arc furnaces, with a charging pipe sealingly conducted through the furnace roof, ending in the region of the latter, and connected to a burden supply. In order to provide a charging apparatus for metallurgical furnaces which has a small fall height of the fine material to be charged and thus ensures a low evolution of dust, the heat loading of the apparatus also having to be low, it is proposed that the charging pipe (4) can be lowered for the charging process into the furnace space (3) to a location near the bath surface and that it has an opening (6) located at the end remote from the furnace space and aligned, in the lowered position of the charging pipe (4), with the outlet opening of a burden supply pipe (8) abutting the wall of the charging pipe (4). <IMAGE></p> |
