The invention describes a gasket for a cylinder head cover on the cylinder head by means of an elastomer seal, the seal being pressed at a prescribed pressure against an aligning surface on the cylinder head by tightening the cylinder head cover against stops on the cylinder head side by means of screw elements. In order to achieve dry fixing points for this, the screw elements together with the stops are incorporated into the seal and are enclosed by this on both sides.
