PURPOSE:To apply exactly a load to a test piece and to enable exact centering of the test piece by using a cylindrical machine frame, fixing an actuator to one end of the machine frame and connecting both ends of the test piece to the actuator and the other end of the machine frame. CONSTITUTION:When a fluid pressure such as oil pressure is supplied to the body 8 of an actuator 4, a piston rod 10 is moved back and forth with respect to the body 8 and repetitive tensile compressive load is applied on a test piece TP. The reaction thereof is received and supported by the top end of a machine frame 7. The test piece TP is thus deformed and the fatigue thereof is tested. The cylindrical frame 7 is used and the rigidity of the frame 7 is high. Since the frame 7 is cylindrical, high accuracy working is made possible. |
