PURPOSE:To make teaching of a robot easy and to obtain optimum multi-layer welding by constituting a control device in such a way that said device, when inputted with the conditions necessary for multi-layer build-up welding, calculates automatically welding current, voltage and speed, sets the optimum values for welding conditions and controls the robot and welding power source. CONSTITUTION:The operator assigns one of the shapes, for example, fillet, single-bevel type, single-Vee type, single-J type or single-U type of welding base materials to a device 11 for setting conditions and assigns similarly a beval angle. The operator assigns further a radius according to a leg length, gap and the types. Then the data are stored in a storage device 12 provided in a CNC control device 2 which calculates the welding current, voltage and welding speed from the 1st layer of multi-layer build-up welding by each layer and the welding torch in automatically controlled in accordance with the calculated values. Welding is thus accomplished. |
